[+/-] : THINGS AREN'T ALWAYS WHAT THEY SEEM
When the sun came up the next morning the angels found the farmer and his wife in tears. Their only cow, whose milk had been their sole income, lay dead in the field. The younger angel was infuriated and asked the older angel "how could you have let this happen!? The first man had everything, yet you helped him," he accused. "The second family had little but was willing to share everything, and you let their cow die.""Things aren't always what they seem," the older angel replied. "When we stayed in the basement of the mansion, I noticed there was gold stored in that hole in the wall. Since the owner was so obsessed with greed and unwilling to share his good fortune, I sealed the wall so he wouldn't find it. Then last night as we slept in the farmers bed, the angel of death came for his wife. I gave him the cow instead. Things aren't always what they seem."Sometimes this is exactly what happens when things don't turn out the way they should. If you have faith, you just need to trust that every outcome is always to your advantage. You might not know it until some time later....

Finally a brave English man got up and boldly roared, ”long live Queen of England!” and threw himself out. There was a remarkable recover in the condition of the engine now. But unfortunately it needed some more weight reduction to recover fully. This time an american stood up and proudly told,”I love the united states of America’ and jumped out. Now the aircraft was 90% safe, yet a few kgs of weight was to be reduced immediately to save the aircraft .Even one kg weight loss would completely recover the engine to 100% safety. The pilot again requested all for the noble act. Nobody was willing to sacrifice now. Atlast a great Indian got up. With a stiff chest,he said loudly,”Vandhe madharam, mahatma gandhikke jay”and pushed the man sitting next to him outside the plane....

[+/-] : The story I love
Now read the whole story -There was a man who had four sons. He wanted his sons to learn not to judge things too quickly. So he sent them each on a quest, in turn, to go and look at a pear tree that was a great distance away. The first son went in the winter, the second in the spring, the third insummer, and the youngest son in the fall. When they had all gone and come back, he called them together to describe what they had seen. The first son said that the tree was ugly, bent, and twisted. The second son said no it was covered with green buds and full of promise. The third son disagreed; he said it was laden with blossoms that smelled so sweet and looked so beautiful, it was the most graceful thing he had ever seen. The last son disagreed with all of them; he said it was ripe and drooping with fruit, full of life and fulfillment. The man then explained to his sons that they were all right, because they had each seen but only one season in the tree's life.He told them that you cannot judge a tree, or a person, by only one season, and that the essence of who they are and the pleasure, joy, and love that come from that life can only be measured at the end, when all the seasons are up.If you give up when it's winter, you will miss the promise of your spring, the beauty of your summer, fulfillment of your fall. The same mistake we often do in life so reading this story is important to ponder over it.

[+/-] : The monkey with the wooden apple!
One day he came upon a house, where he saw a bowl of the most beautiful apples.
He took one in each hand and ran back into the forest.
He sniffed the apples and smelled nothing.
He tried to eat them, but hurt his teeth.
They were made of wood, but they were beautiful, and when the other monkeys saw them, he held onto them even tighter.
He admired his new possessions proudly as he wandered the jungle.
They glistened red in the sun, and seemed perfect to him.
He became so attached to them, that he didn't even notice his hunger at first.
A fruit tree reminded him, but he felt the apples in his hands.
He couldn't bear to set them down to reach for the fruit.
In fact, he couldn't relax, either, if he was to defend his apples.
A proud, but less happy monkey continued to walk along the forest trails.
The apples became heavier, and the poor little monkey thought about leaving them behind.
He was tired, hungry, and he couldn't climb trees or collect fruit with his hands full.
What if he just let go?
Letting go of such valuable things seemed crazy, but what else could he do?
He was so tired. Seeing the next fruit tree, and smelling it's fruit was enough.
He dropped the wooden apples and reached up for his meal.
He was happy again.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Letting Go Of Wooden Apples
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Like that little monkey, we sometimes carry things that seem too valuable to let go
A man carries an image of himself as "productive" - carries it like a shiny wooden apple.
But in reality, his busyness leaves him tired, and hungry for a better life.
Still, letting go seems crazy.
Even his worries are sacred apples - they prove he's "doing everything he can."
He holds onto them compulsively.
This is a hard thing to see.
We identify so strongly with our things even, feeling pain when our cars are dented.
How much more powerfully do we identify with our beliefs and self-ideas?
Yet they don't always feed our souls, do they?
And we become tired of defending them.
How else could the story end?
The monkey might be found dead of hunger, under a beautiful tree, with fruit within reach, but still grasping his wooden apples.
I chose to end it with him letting go, because only with open hands can we receive.

[+/-] : Mum.... I Love You...
My mom only had one eye. I hated her... she was such an embarrassment. She cooked for students & teachers to support the family.
There was this one day during elementary school where my mom came to say hello to me.
I was so embarrassed.
How could she do this to me?I ignored her, threw her a hateful look and ran out.The next day at school one of my classmates said, "EEEE, your mom only has one eye!"
I wanted to bury myself.I also wanted my mom to just disappear.I confronted her that day and said, "If you're only goanna make me a laughing stock, why don't you just die?"
My mom did not respond...I didn't even stop to think for a second about what I had said, because I was full of anger.I was oblivious to her feelings.
I walked out of that house, and have nothing to do with her.So I studied real hard, got a chance to go abroad to study. Then, I got married.I bought a house of my own.I had kids of my own.I was happy with my life, my kids andthe comforts, Then one day, my mother came to visit me.She hadn't seen me in years and she didn't even meet her grandchildren. When she stood by the door, my children laughed at her, and I yelled at her for coming over uninvited.I screamed at her, "How dare you come to my house and scare my children!"GET OUT OF HERE! NOW!!!"
And to this, my mother quietly answered, "Oh, I'm so sorry. I may have gotten the wrong address," and she disappeared out of sight. One day, a letter regarding a school reunion came to my house.
So I lied to my wife that I was going on a business trip. After the reunion, I went to the old shack just out of curiosity.
My neighbors said that she died.I did not shed a single tear. They handed me a letter that she hadwanted me to have.
"My dearest son,I think of you all the time. I'm sorry that I came to your house and scared your children.I was so glad when I heard you were coming for the reunion. But I may not be able to even get out of bed to see you.I'm sorry that I was a constant embarrassment to you when you were growing up.
You see........when you were very little, you got into an accident, and lost your eye.As a mother, I couldn't stand watching you having to grow up with one eye.So I gave you mine.I was so proud of my son who was seeing a whole new world for me, in my place, with that eye.
With all my love to you,Your mother.
Tell this to at least 5 people in thenext 5 minutes to show you love your mother.
Always tell someone that you love them because you never know what day willbe their last, or your own. Always seek to resolve your problems or disagreements with loved ones because if either of you should pass on before, the one who is left alive will have the rest of their life to ponder those unresolved feelings but will never find closure. And closure usually brings peace...

[+/-] : Donkey can change your life
Further on the way home, they met an old Lady. She commented, "How can the man ride on the donkey but let the wife walk. He is no gentleman." The husband thus quickly asked the wife to join him on the donkey. Then, they met a young man. He commented, "Poor donkey, how can you hold up the weight of two persons. They are cruel to you." Hearing that, the husband and wife immediately climbed down from the donkey and carried it on their shoulders.
It seems to be the only choice left. Later, on a narrow bridge, the donkey was frightened and struggled. They lost their balance and fell into the river. You can never have everyone praise you, nor will everyone condemn you. [+/-] : 13 Steps to be Successful Like Bill Gates
1. STUDY HIS PERSONALITY
You can learn many things if you observe the personality of Bill Gates. To become like him in business it is essential to know about him thoroughly. Read his biographies, read other articles written on him. See what his friends or relatives have said about him. You will come to know about many things which helped him to become such a prominent figure in the history of mankind.
2. UNDERSTAND YOUR PASSION
Spare a week to study different persons around you. See successful shopkeepers, businessmen, doctors, politicians etc. You will see one thing very remarkable about them. You will find them totally involved in their work. They have a deep passion for what they do. Bill Gates’ passion was to do something new and unique in the field of software development. His passion was like that saint who forgets the family, the society and the world in his pursuit to make a link with God. That is the big secret of his success. Find out what is your passion. What thrills you most? That deep passion will generate money for you.
3. WORK LIKE DEVIL
As soon you discover your passion start working like a devil. It means surround yourself from head to toe in the aura of your passion and work harder and harder to achieve your goals. When Bill Gates was admitted to The Lakeside private school it had just bought a new computer which hooked Bill Gates. His craze for computer was so great that within a week he surpassed the knowledge of his computer teacher.
4. GAIN KNOWLEDGE
In the most wonderful Chinese book on military warfare The Art of War the writer Sun Tzu says that the army general who has the most knowledge mostly wins. Knowledge is power. You must have in-depth knowledge about the work you are doing or which is related to your passion.
5. OBSERVE THE COMPETITION
In modern world we have to face deadly competition almost in every field. If you are not aware and well-prepared, it may ruthlessly trample you down and suck your whole energy. Bill Gates is reported to watch competition around him with an eye of an eagle. He is as tough as the Himalayas. Nobody has been able to challenge him. But before he starts his war with the competitors he always extends a hand of friendship. He offers a price and asks his competitor to be a part of Microsoft - making the company bigger and bigger.
6. BE BRAVE AND FEARLESS
In the jungle of modern business charity may be there but the word 'mercy' doesn't exist. Deadly wars of survival are to be fought daily. And you have to be a brave and fearless warrior. The weak-hearted or the timid can't earn much money. Everybody knows the bravery and fearlessness of Bill Gates. He can never be cowed down to a fearful retreat.
7. ACCEPT CHALLENGES
It was time when Apple was riding high with its Mac operating system. Bill Gates was still trying to carve his niche. He contacted Apple for license to sell their system. Apple refused bluntly. From that very moment he took a challenge to invent his own operating system. With his dedicated team he plunged into dedicated work. The result was Windows that revolutionized the IT industry.
8. PLAN YOUR MOVES LIKE AN ARMY CHIEF
According to George Washington “Discipline is the soul of an army. It makes small numbers formidable, procures success to the weak, and esteem to all.” Bill Gates seems to be always following it. A business leader needs to act in tough discipline with proper planning. Wars are to be won at any cost. You have to lead your talented team like an army chief. There can not be any respite for anybody till a business war is won.
9. KEEP PATIENCE
You will see Bill Gates calm and cool like a great saint. Nobody has seen him lose his patience. He is surrounded by enemies and lawsuits. All sort of brickbats are thrown on him from all sides. There are more than two dozen lawsuits on him. But he never uttered an angry word against any one. He knows it is the price of success which the winner has to. It is better to pay it happily.
10. BUILD A TEAM
Every success story is written by the team a leader has. One person can't achieve much. Like all the fingers of a hand effort of a dedicated team is mind-boggling. Bill Gates is known to get the best talent in the world for Microsoft. And he goes to any length for it.
11. POSTPONE YOUR MARRIAGE
Emotional energy plays a great role behind the success of a person. The common saying that there is a woman behind the success of a great man is not always true. If two people are in love they have to devote a lot of attention and spend a lot of energy to keep each other happy. And the business or your career goal is the sufferer. Bill Gates was lucky that he didn't fall in love at an early age, and his business got his complete concentration. He fell in love only when he was highly successful, and luckily the girl Melinda (working in his own office) too proved dedicated like him.
12. SPEND IN CHARITY
Greed is the root of all evils. It is good to love money but it should be generated by dedicated work not by greed. And always spend a share of money for the welfare of mankind. Gates is spending millions of dollars every on charity.
13. REFRAIN FROM LUXURY
Although Bill Gates became a billionaire at the age of 31, he never thought to spend his money in luxury. Whatever he earned he reinvested in developing business. Like other billionaires he has no craze for luxury yachts, half a dozen aircrafts or helicopters, palatial homes in different countries, romancing with the most expensive women. That is one of the reasons why it is difficult to beat Bill Gates.
“You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else.” Albert Einstein

[+/-] : Happiness the greatest wealth!
We want positive outlook for happiness. All other things are sheer waste of time, money and effort. Whenever we have positive outlook, we feel positive, even sometimes lucky and happy and we spread that happiness into others through our smiles. We share the happiness with the world through our smiles, the spring in our steps or even through a tune playing around our lips. Yes, each of us is able to give happiness to others. It’s just that we are not able to identify the disguise of happiness. Happiness is often disguised in small forms and in unlikely places but it’s our duty to seek it out and spread it through.
If we don’t believe here is
Basically happiness is directly related to state of mind and all other things have negligible effect on happiness. It takes a positive person to be happy for only he can be youthful, Hence age, education, religion, money does not have any effect. We cannot say that there are no influences of the above said factors on happiness at all. It is the importance we associate to each of the above said factors that serves as measure of happiness for each of us. If we want to really measure the happiness we should try to measure the satisfaction we get from these factors (?) in life. In the end happiness is all about positive vibes in and around us. Take time to be happy. =)

[+/-] : six ways to make people like you
A simple way to make a good impression.
The expression one wears on one's face if far more important than the clothes one wears on one's back. Actions speak louder than words, and a smile says, " I like you. You make me happy. I am glad to see you." You must have a good time meeting people i f you expect them to have a good time meeting you. You don't feel like smiling? Then what? Two things. First, force yourself to smile. If you are alone, force yourself to whistle or hum a tune or sing. Act as if you were already happy, and that will tend to make you happy. "Action seems to follow feeling, but really action and feeling go together; and by regulating the action, which is under the more direct control of the will, we can indirectly regulate the feeling, which is not." -William James. Happiness doesn't depend on outward conditions. It depends on inner conditions. It isn't what you have or who you are or where you are or what you are doing that makes you happy or unhappy. It is what you think about it. "There is nothing either good or bad," said Shakespeare, "but thinking makes it so." Your smile is a messenger of your good will. Your smile brightens the lives of all who see it. To someone who has seen a dozen people frown, scowl or turn their faces away, your smile is like the sun breaking through the clouds.
Principle 2: Smile.
If you don't do this, you are headed for trouble
The average person is more interested in his or her own name than all the other names on earth put together. Remember that name and call it easily, and you have paid a subtle and very effective compliment. But forget it or misspell it-and you have plac e yourself at a sharp disadvantage. Whenever you meet a new acquaintance, find out his or her complete name and some facts about his or her family, business or political opinions. Fix all these facts well in mind as part of the picture, and the next time you meet that person, even if it was a year later, you will be able to shake hands, inquire after the family, and ask about the hollyhocks in the backyard. Sometimes it is difficult to remember a name, particularly if it is hard to pronounce. Rather than even try to learn it, many people ignore it or call the person by an easy nickname. Most people don't remember names, for the simple reason that they don't take the time and energy necessary to concentrate and repeat and fix names indelibly in their minds. If you don't hear the name distinctly say excuse me I didn't get your name clearly. Then, if it is an unusual name, ask how it is spelled. Use the person's name several times in the conversation; try to associate it in your mind with the person's featur es, expression and general appearance. Then, when you are alone write the name down on a piece of paper, look at it, and concentrate on it, fix it securely in your mind, in this way you will gain an eye impression of the name as well as an ear impression.
Principle 3: Remember that a person's name is to that person the sweetest and most important sound in any language.
An easy way to become a good conversationalist
Listen intently; listen because you are genuinely interested. That kind of listening is one of the highest compliments we can pay anyone. The chronic kicker, even the most violent critic, will frequently soften and be subdued in the presence of a patient, sympathetic listener-a listener who will be silent with the irate fault-finger dilates like a king cobra and spews the poison out of his system. Be more eager to hear what a person has to say then even they are to tell it. Many people prefer good list eners to good talkers, but the ability to listen seems rarer than almost any other good trait. All we want when we are in trouble is a friendly, sympathetic listener to unburden yourself. That is frequently all the irritated customer wants, and the dissat isfied employee or the hurt friend. If you want to know how to make people shun you and laugh at you behind your back and even despise you, here is the recipe: Never listen to anyone for long. Talk incessantly about yourself. If you have an idea while the other person is talking, don't wait for him or her to finish: bust right in and interrupt in the middle of a sentence. If you aspire to be a good conversationalist, be an attentive listener. To be interesting, be interested. Ask questions that other persons will enjoy answering. Encourage them to talk about themselves and their accomplishments.
Principle 4: Be a good listener. Encourage others to talk about themselves.
How to interest people
The royal road to a person's heart is to talk about the things he or she treasures most. Make an effort to find out what interests the person then get them talking about it. Talking in terms of the other person's interests pays off for both parties. When asked what reward he got from it, Mr. Herzig responded that he not only received a different reward from each person but that in general the reward had been an enlargement of his life each time he spoke to someone.
Principle 5: Talk in terms of the other person's interests.
How to make people like you instantly.
Ask yourself " What is there about him or her that I can honestly admire?" That is sometimes a hard question to answer, especially with strangers. You want approval of those with whom you come in contact. You want recognition of your true worth. You want a feeling that your are important in our little world. You don't want to listen to cheap, insincere flattery, but you do crave sincere appreciation. So let's obey the Golden Rule, and give unto others what we would have others give unto us. How? When? Where? The answer is all the time, everywhere. Use little phrases such as "I'm sorry to trouble you, ___." "Would you please ___?" "Won't you please?" "Would you mind?" "Thank you." The unvarnished truth is that almost all the people you meet feel themselves superior to you in some way, and a sure way to their hearts is to let them realize in some subtle way that you recognize their importance, and recognize it sincerely. Talk to people about themselves and they will listen for hours.
Principle 6: Make the other person feel important-and do it sincerely.
In a Nutshell: Six ways to make people like you Become genuinely interested in other people.
Smile. Remember that a person's name is to that person the sweetest and most important sound in any language. Be a good listener. Encourage others to talk about themselves. Talk in terms of the other person's interests. Make the other person feel important-and do it sincerely.
